Recipe from a popular restaurant in New York.
Ingredients
- Smoked haddock fillet - 4.6 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz
- Broccoli - 2.8 oz
- Cream - 0.7 oz
- Butter - 2.1 oz
- Soy Sauce - 0 fl oz
- Sesame Oil - 0 fl oz
- Almond - 0.7 oz
- Olive Oil - 0 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Season the salmon with salt and pepper, and sear it in a well-heated non-stick skillet, starting with the skin side (pressing down with a spatula for 40 seconds to make the skin crispy). Then, sear on the other sides (no need to press down anymore).
Step 2
Place the fish in the oven preheated to 392°F for 6 minutes.
Step 3
Prepare the sauce: bring the cream to a boil in a small saucepan, remove from heat, whisk in the butter, then add the honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
Step 4
Add the broccoli to boiling salted water and cook for two minutes. Then, drain the water using a sieve and add salt, pepper, and olive oil.
Step 5
Prepare the almonds in salt: finely chop the nuts, then add salt and olive oil.
Step 6
Pour 30 ml of warm sauce into a plate, arrange the broccoli on top, sprinkle with 5 grams of nuts, and place the fish in the center of the plate.
