Salsa Sauce
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 4 pieces
- Spanish onions - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Cilantro - 1 bunch
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 3 fl oz
- Olive Oil - 1 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Mild Chili Spice - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash and dry the vegetables. Remove the seeds and membranes from the chili pepper under cold running water. Cut into pieces.
Step 2
Drizzle the vegetables with olive oil. Place in a preheated oven at 392°F (about 400 degrees Fahrenheit). Bake for 15 minutes until the vegetables are browned.
Step 3
Let the vegetables cool. Peel the tomatoes. Chop the vegetables in a food processor until coarsely blended.
Step 4
Add lemon juice, salt, and freshly ground pepper to the tomato mixture to taste, along with a tablespoon of olive oil. Mix well.
Step 5
Chop the cilantro. Add it to the sauce. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
