Description
You may need a little more or less water; you can add it gradually until the dough starts to easily come away from the bowl and your hands.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 10.6 oz
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Water - 2 fl oz
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Soften the butter at room temperature and chill the water beforehand.
Step 2
Mix the flour and salt in a large bowl.
Step 3
Add the softened butter and mix with the flour using your fingertips for a few minutes.
Step 4
Add the ice-cold water and mix for another couple of minutes until the dough is smooth and homogeneous. Divide into 2 parts and roll them into balls.
Step 5
The dough can be baked immediately or stored in the refrigerator.
Step 6
Roll out the required amount of dough thinly, place it in a tart pan, and prick it with a fork. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes. Then remove, add the filling, and return to the oven. Bake until done for about another 20 minutes.
