Description
Scandinavian lingonberry sauce
Ingredients
- Rice Sweet Wine - 7 fl oz
- Honey - 1.1 oz
- Lingonberry - 3.5 oz
- Cinnamon - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix a little wine, honey, and seasonal berries — use lingonberries (cranberries, red currants, or even black currants) that you like the most.
Step 2
Put everything together in a small saucepan over heat. Bring to a boil and reduce until two-thirds remain. We do this to evaporate the alcohol from the wine.
Step 3
Strain everything through a sieve and puree.
Step 4
The ideal taste for the sauce is sweet and sour. If you need more sweetness, you can add a little honey to taste. The sauce can be served warm or cold.
