  • Shallots - 2 heads
  • Salt - ¾ teaspoon
  • Millet - 1 cup

Step 1

To prepare shallots with millet, heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the shallots and ¾ teaspoon of salt.

Step 2

Sauté, stirring occasionally, until the shallots become slightly soft and translucent (about 10 minutes).

Step 3

Add the millet, mix well, then add 1.7 cups of water.

Step 4

Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer until the grain is tender and the water is absorbed (about 15 minutes).
