Shells Stuffed with Seafood
Ingredients
- Peeled Cooked Shrimp - 10 pieces
- Sweet Red Onion - 1 tablespoon
- Crab Meat - 2.8 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Melted Cheese - 0.7 oz
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Wheat Flour - ¼ g
- Milk - 4 cups
- Salt - a pinch
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 2.1 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Conchiglie Pasta - 15 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cook the pasta. Chop the pepper and onion. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter and sauté.
Step 2
Mix the crab meat, chopped shrimp, lightly beaten egg, mozzarella, and mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of milk, pepper, and sautéed onion and pepper.
Step 3
Drain the pasta in a colander. Fill each shell with the filling. Place in a baking dish.
Step 4
In a saucepan, melt the butter, add the flour and pepper. Gradually pour in the milk. Cook for 2 minutes over medium heat. Add the Parmesan.
Step 5
Pour the sauce over the shells. Bake for 35–40 minutes.
