Description
Shrimp in firecracker sauce.
Ingredients
- Sweet Chili Sauce - 2 fl oz
- Lime - 1 piece
- Sriracha - 1 tablespoon
- Soy Sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Peeled Cooked Shrimp - 17.6 oz
- Corn Starch - 2 spoons
- Vegetable Oil - 2 spoons
- Sesame bun - to taste
- Scallions - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Zest the lime and squeeze out the juice.
Step 3
In a small bowl, combine the zest and juice of half a lime, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and soy sauce. Whisk together until smooth.
Step 4
Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt.
Step 5
Pour the corn starch into a bowl and coat the shrimp in it.
Step 6
In a wok or a large non-stick skillet, heat vegetable oil over high heat, add the shrimp, and sauté, stirring, for 1 minute. Transfer to a bowl.
Step 7
Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet and bring it to a boil.
Step 8
Return the shrimp to the skillet and, stirring, allow them to be coated with the sauce. If the mixture becomes too thick, add some water, let the sauce thicken, and remove from heat.
Step 9
Serve the shrimp in sauce with rice, sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds.
Step 10
Garnish with green onions.
