Ingredients
- Peeled Cooked Shrimp - 17.6 oz
- 10% cream - 8 fl oz
- Irish Whiskey - 1 fl oz
- Butter - 0.9 oz
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Morels - 8 pieces
- Shallot - 2 heads
- Salt - to taste
- White Pepper (whole) - to taste
- Ground Nutmeg - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all ingredients — finely chop the shallots, cut the mushrooms (if fresh) into large pieces, and dice the carrot into small cubes.
Step 2
In a heavy skillet, melt the butter and sauté the shallots for 1–2 minutes.
Step 3
Add the carrot and sauté for another 2–3 minutes.
Step 4
Add the mushrooms and spices, and simmer, stirring constantly, for about 5–6 minutes.
Step 5
Pour in the cream and bring to a boil.
Step 6
Add the whiskey and bring to a boil again, then reduce the heat and continue to cook, stirring, for another 7–8 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Step 7
Increase the heat to maximum and add the shrimp. Cook until the shrimp change color to reddish-pink, about 3 minutes.
Step 8
Serve with spaghetti or boiled rice.
