Simple meat pilaf
Ingredients
- Rice - 2 lbs
- Meat - 17.6 oz
- Carrot - 2 lbs
- Onion - 1 head
- Vegetable Oil - 8 fl oz
- Salt - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a large pot, sauté the meat in oil over high heat. You can add a little sugar for a golden crust. Add the onion, and after a couple of minutes, add the carrot, cut into long strips. Reduce the heat and cover for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Remove the lid, increase the heat, add pilaf seasoning, rice, and pour in water (boil the water beforehand and pour it in 2 cm above the rice).
Step 3
Add salt. Let the water evaporate until it is no longer visible on top.
Step 4
Reduce the heat and cook on low until the rice is done.
