Description
Any fish with boneless fillets can be used instead of smelt, preferably not too large, as it looks nicer on the plate.
Ingredients
- Rybak - 2 lbs
- 20% Sour Cream - 14.1 oz
- Cucumbers - 1.1 oz
- Dill - 0.7 oz
- Spelt - 7.1 oz
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Olive Oil - 1 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Grate the cucumbers using a fine grater, then mix them with crushed garlic, finely chopped dill, a pinch of salt, pepper, and sour cream.
Step 2
Season the fillet of the smelt with salt and pepper, then fry it on both sides in olive oil.
Step 3
Pour the spelt with water to about a finger's depth, add a pinch of salt to the pot, and simmer over low heat for twenty minutes. After that, remove from the heat, cover with a lid, and let it sit for ten minutes. Place the fish on a plate, top with a mixture of cucumbers and sour cream, and sprinkle with spelt and pink pepper, if you enjoy its tangy flavor.
