Description
For a softer flavor, you can mix the prepared sorrel with tomatoes with room temperature butter. Fifty grams of butter will be more than enough.

- Sorrel - 4 lbs
- Safflower Oil - 3 spoons
- Onion - 1 head
- Tomatoes - 2 lbs
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Parsley - 0.7 oz
- Dill - 0.7 oz
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the sorrel, chop it finely, place it in a pot, cover with water, and add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for ten minutes. Drain the water.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a skillet and sauté the finely chopped onion over low heat, stirring until it becomes soft. Add the finely chopped tomatoes and cook, mashing them with a spatula, for another twenty minutes.
Step 3
Mix the contents of the pan with sugar and finely chopped dill and parsley — cook for another two minutes. Serve immediately.
