  • Onion - 2 heads
  • Vegetable Oil - 2 fl oz
  • Minced garlic - 1 tablespoon
  • Carrot - 2 pieces
  • Lean Beef - 3 lbs
  • Mild Chili Spice - 2 fl oz
  • Ground Cumin - 1 tablespoon
  • Paprika - 2 tablespoons
  • Dried Rosemary - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili Flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Tomato Puree - 16 fl oz
  • Campbell's Beef Broth - 10 fl oz
  • Apple Cider Vinegar - 1 fl oz
  • Canned Pork with Beans - 8.8 oz
  • Orange Bell Peppers - 2 pieces
  • Sour Cream - 6 pieces
  • Sour Cream - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over low heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft, about 5-10 minutes.

Step 2

Add the garlic and finely chopped carrot. Sauté for about a minute.

Step 3

Increase to medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook for about 10 minutes, breaking up any lumps. Add the chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, and chili flakes. Sauté for another minute.

Step 4

Add the tomato puree, broth, and vinegar. Cover and simmer for 40-60 minutes, depending on the quality of the meat.

Step 5

Add the beans and diced green pepper. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for another 15 minutes until the pepper is tender.

Step 6

Serve by placing a sour cream biscuit on a plate, topped with about a ladle of the spicy meat sauce. Add a small amount of sour cream on top.
