Spaghetti Bolognese with Meatballs
Ingredients
- Ground meat - 12.3 oz
- Breadcrumbs - 2.8 oz
- Whole egg - 1 piece
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Red Grape Juice - 7 fl oz
- Sugar - 0.9 oz
- Crushed Tomatoes in Their Own Juice - 24.7 oz
- Spaghetti - 12.3 oz
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 1.8 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- TABASCO® - 0 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Divide into 2 parts.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, egg, ground meat, yolk, onion, garlic, and TABASCO sauce. Season with salt and pepper and mix well. Form balls with wet hands. Place in a dish and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes.
Step 3
For the sauce, chop the tomatoes. In olive oil, sauté the remaining onion and garlic until golden, sprinkle with chili, and cook for another minute. Add tomatoes, wine, and sugar, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
Step 4
In heated oil, fry the meatballs.
Step 5
While the meatballs are cooking, boil the spaghetti in salted boiling water. Drain.
Step 6
Mix the spaghetti, sauce, and meatballs. Sprinkle with cheese and black pepper.
