Ingredients

  • Spaghetti - 17.6 oz
  • Tomatoes - 2 pieces
  • Onion - 2 pieces
  • Baking Tomatoes - 1 can
  • Garlic - 7 cloves
  • Basil - 1 bunch
  • 10% cream - 4 tablespoons
  • Olive Oil - 4 tablespoons
  • Paprika - 2 teaspoons
  • Vodka - 5 fl oz
  • Butter - 0.7 oz
  • Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 1.8 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Slice the onion into half-rings, crush the garlic without chopping it. Sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil until translucent.

Step 2

Blanch the fresh tomatoes in boiling water, peel them, and chop them along with the canned tomatoes into large cubes. Add everything to the onion and garlic. Reduce the heat to low, lightly salt, pepper, and cook for 15 minutes.

Step 3

While the vegetables are simmering, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions, then drain the water. By this time, the vegetables should be ready.

Step 4

Now act quickly! Pour the vodka and cream into the hot spaghetti, add the butter and paprika, and mix everything together.

Step 5

Serve the spaghetti on plates, top with the vegetable sauce, sprinkle with Parmesan, and garnish with basil leaves (I didn't have fresh basil, so I used dried basil, adding it to the vegetables during their cooking).
