Ingredients
- Poultry - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- White bread - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Almond - 10 pieces
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Olive Oil - 1 fl oz
- Ground Cumin - a pinch
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cinnamon - a pinch
- Ground clove - a pinch
- Saffron - a pinch
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 10
Stir and remove from heat. Serve.
Step 2
Cut the chicken into 12 pieces: halve the drumsticks, thighs, wings, and breasts.
Step 3
In a heavy-bottomed pot, lightly sauté the bread and garlic in olive oil.
Step 4
Then remove them, and in the pot, sauté the chicken until it is golden brown. Transfer the sautéed chicken to another dish.
Step 5
In the same oil, sauté the onion until soft and return the chicken.
Step 6
Pour in water, add lemon juice, salt, pepper, cinnamon, and cloves, cover with a lid, and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
Step 7
In a mortar, crush the toasted garlic and bread with almonds, saffron, cumin, and the yolks of hard-boiled eggs.
Step 8
Add 70 ml of water to the mortar, mix the contents, and pour it into the pot with the chicken.
Step 9
Simmer covered for another hour on low heat. After the time is up, add the finely chopped egg white.
