- Basmati rice - 1 cup
- Vegetable Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Spanish onions - 1 head
- Celery salt - 2 pieces
- Sesame Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Toasted Sesame - 1 teaspoon
- Black Cumin (Cumin) - 1 teaspoon
- Red Curry Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Soy Sauce - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet, add the rice, and quickly fry.
Step 2
Add curry powder to the skillet with rice and mix thoroughly, then pour in 2 cups of boiling water, add salt, and cook covered on low heat for 30–35 minutes.
Step 3
Peel, wash, and slice the carrot into thick rounds.
Step 4
Peel, wash, and dice the onion.
Step 5
Wash the celery and cut it into pieces 1.5–2 cm long.
Step 6
In a separate skillet, heat the sesame oil, add cumin, carrot, and onion, sauté for 3 minutes while stirring constantly, then add the celery and cook for another 2 minutes.
Step 7
Add the rice to the skillet with the vegetables and mix thoroughly.
Step 8
Serve the cooked vegetables and rice on plates, drizzle with soy sauce, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
