Description
This sauce is perfect for all meat dishes, as well as poultry and game dishes. Dried cranberries can also be used, in which case you should use 50 grams less sugar.
Ingredients
- Dried cranberries with sugar - 20 oz
- Plums - 5 pieces
- Spanish onions - 1 head
- Brown Sugar - 10 oz
- Grated Ginger Root - 2 teaspoons
- Ground Cinnamon - ½ teaspoon
- Juniper Berries - 7 pieces
- Ground clove - 5 pieces
- Apple Cider Vinegar - 5 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Crush the juniper berries and cloves in a mortar.
Step 2
Finely chop the onion and plums.
Step 3
Place all ingredients in a pot, mix, and simmer on low heat until a jam-like consistency forms, about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 4
Transfer to a jar. Keep the sauce in the refrigerator.
