Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 1 cup
- Olive Oil - 6 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Za'atar - 2 tablespoons
- Olive Oil - 2.1 oz
- Tomatoes - ½ piece
- Mint - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix the flour, 1 tablespoon of oil, salt, and ¼ cup of water until a dough consistency is achieved.
Step 2
Knead the dough for 1-2 minutes, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Transfer the dough to a floured surface, roll it out into a flatbread with a diameter of 25 cm and a thickness of about ½ cm. In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of oil and za'atar.
Step 4
Heat the remaining oil in a skillet over high heat; fry the flatbread until golden brown for 5-7 minutes (flipping once).
Step 5
Transfer to a plate and brush with the oil and za'atar mixture; sprinkle with olives, pieces of tomato, and mint leaves.
