Spicy Fried Beans
Ingredients
- Canned Red Beans - 45.9 oz
- Water - 1 cup
- Olive Oil - 5 tablespoons
- Onion - 1 head
- Jalapeño pepper - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Ground Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Cilantro - 0.4 oz
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- TABASCO® Sauce - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the beans and blend them in a food processor with a cup of water for 30 seconds.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a 30 cm skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and jalapeño, previously seeded, along with half a teaspoon of salt. Sauté the vegetables for about 5 minutes until they become soft. Then add the minced garlic and cumin, and cook for another 15 seconds.
Step 3
Add the bean puree to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes until the mixture thickens. Top with chopped cilantro and season with TABASCO® sauce to taste.
