Description

- Olive Oil - ¼ cup
- Spanish onions - 1 head
- Ground Cumin - ½ teaspoon
- Cayenne Pepper - a pinch
- Ocean salt - to taste
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Habanero Pepper - 1 piece
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 0.1 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 0.1 oz
- Apple Cider Vinegar - 2 teaspoons
- Water - ¼ cup
- White Pepper (whole) - ¼ teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour the olive oil into a deep skillet and gently heat over low heat. Add the finely chopped onion, cumin, cayenne pepper, and 0.5 teaspoons of salt. Sauté for about 8 minutes until the onion begins to caramelize.
Step 2
Add the minced garlic and chopped chili and cook for another 2 minutes. Add the tomato paste, tomato sauce, vinegar, and water. Mix well and cook for 5–7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Step 3
Transfer everything to a blender and add the white pepper. Blend until smooth and season with salt to taste. Pour into a jar and store in the refrigerator.
