Spicy Lemon Sauce
Ingredients
- Butter - 2.1 oz
- Wheat Flour - 1 tablespoon
- Bouillon cube - 1 piece
- Whole egg - 2 pieces
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Nutmeg - a pinch
- Parsley - 0.2 oz
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Melt the butter in a saucepan, then add the flour and slowly pour in 450 ml of warm water: cook, stirring, for 5 minutes. Crumble the bouillon cube into the sauce and remove the saucepan from the heat.
Step 2
Lightly beat the egg yolks in a bowl with lemon juice, then add a little hot sauce — and mix vigorously to prevent the yolks from cooking and turning into lumps. Add a bit more sauce, mix, and transfer everything to the saucepan with the sauce. It is ready, but should not cool down.
Step 3
Add salt, finely chopped parsley, and nutmeg. Serve in a warmed sauceboat — with roasted meat and baked fish.
