Spicy Melon
Ingredients
- Honey - 3½ tablespoons
- White wine - ¼ cup
- Red Bell Pepper - 1 piece
- Yellow bell pepper - 1 piece
- Ground chili pepper - 2 teaspoons
- Fresh Lime Juice - ¼ cup
- Fresh Mint - 1 tablespoon
- Melon - 2 pieces
- Fig - 8 pieces
- Flower petals - 0.4 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Combine sugar with wine in a pan and heat gently, stirring, until the sugar dissolves.
Step 2
Add the bell peppers and remove from heat. Cool, then add chili pepper, lime juice, mint, and pepper.
Step 3
Leftover syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Step 4
Cut the melons in half and remove the seeds. Cut into decorative shapes and place on pre-chilled plates. Drizzle the melon pieces with syrup and garnish with figs and petals, if available.
