Description
Spicy Pak Choi with Shiitake Mushrooms
Ingredients
- Mini Pak Choi - 10.6 oz
- Shiitake Mushrooms - 4.4 oz
- Fresh Ginger - 0.7 oz
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Sesame Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Soy Sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Fish Sauce - to taste
- Vinegar - to taste
- Dried chili peppers - 5 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Heat sesame oil in a deep skillet or pan.
Step 2
Finely chop fresh ginger and garlic, sauté until golden.
Step 3
Add mushrooms, drizzle with a little soy sauce, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Step 4
Trim the bases of the pak choi, rinse well, and add to the wok with the mushrooms.
Step 5
Add the remaining soy sauce, fish sauce, vinegar, a little water, and chili. I add a lot of chili, but the level of spiciness is best adjusted to personal preference.
Step 6
Drizzle with a little sesame oil and simmer until the pak choi is cooked. Pak choi is ready when the base becomes soft.
Step 7
You can add sesame seeds to taste. Serve with steamed rice.
