Ingredients
- Salad Potatoes - 14.1 oz
- Herring - 1 piece
- Scallions - 1 bunch
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 3 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the potatoes, peel them, and cover with cold water.
Step 2
Boil for 15–20 minutes over medium heat, adding a little salt towards the end of cooking.
Step 3
Drain the water, cool the potatoes, and cut them into wedges.
Step 4
Season the potatoes with ground pepper.
Step 5
Wash the herring, carefully fillet it, remove the large and small bones, and then cut the fillet into small pieces.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 7
Slice part of the cheese, and cut the other part into small cubes.
Step 8
Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil, layer the potatoes on the bottom and sides, and place the herring pieces in the center.
Step 9
Place the slices of cheese on the potatoes, and sprinkle the herring with the cheese cubes on top.
Step 10
Bake in the oven at medium heat for 10–15 minutes.
Step 11
Garnish the finished dish with chopped green onions.
