Description
You can use any hard cheese or even leftover cheese that is about to expire in your fridge. You can omit the cottage cheese or replace it with some plain yogurt. Instead of feta cheese, you can use Adyghe cheese.
Ingredients
- Fresh Spinach Leaves - 14.1 oz
- Chicken Eggs - 5 pieces
- Cheese - 8.8 oz
- Cottage cheese - 3.5 oz
- Feta cheese - 7.1 oz
- Cumin Seeds - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Sunflower Seeds - to taste
- Olive Oil - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Sauté the spinach in olive oil in a skillet. It will darken slightly.
Step 2
Lightly beat the eggs and season with salt.
Step 3
Grate the cheese.
Step 4
Mix the eggs, cheese, spinach, feta, cottage cheese, and cumin.
Step 5
Pour into a baking dish or a slow cooker.
Step 6
Sprinkle with sunflower seeds (peeled!).
Step 7
Bake for about 40 minutes at medium temperature.
