Ingredients
- Cilantro - 1 bunch
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onion tops - 1 piece
- Spotted Grouper - 5 pieces
- Garlic - 3 heads
- Dry White Wine - 4 fl oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 6.3 oz
- Chicken Broth - 2 fl oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 2 tablespoons
- Toasted Cumin Seeds - ¼ teaspoon
- Cinnamon - ¼ teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper - 0.4 oz
- Feta cheese - 4.4 oz
- Chopped almonds - 2.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a large, deep skillet, sauté the pieces of fillet in olive oil over high heat for 3-5 minutes until the fillet is browned.
Step 2
Remove the fillet and set aside.
Step 3
Over low heat, sauté the onion and garlic for 4-5 minutes until softened.
Step 4
Add the tomato paste, chicken broth, lemon juice, cumin, cinnamon, and pepper to taste.
Step 5
Bring to a boil, then simmer covered over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
Step 6
Add the fillet back to the skillet and cook until done.
Step 7
Serve topped with crumbled feta cheese, walnuts, and cilantro sprinkled over the fish.
