Description
A wonderful side dish for meat dishes. Serves approximately 4 people.
Ingredients
- Snap Peas - 7.1 oz
- Scallions - 6 pieces
- Turnips - 10 pieces
- Cilantro - ½ bunch
- Black Cumin (Cumin) - 1 teaspoon
- Toasted Sesame - 1 teaspoon
- Freshly squeezed orange juice - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Peanut Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Take the sugar snap peas and slice them lengthwise into very thin strips (optionally, you can blanch the peas for 1 minute in boiling water, then transfer them to cold water, preferably with ice, to preserve their color).
Step 2
Slice the radishes into thin rounds.
Step 3
Finely chop the green onion.
Step 4
Remove the stems from the cilantro and chop finely.
Step 5
For the dressing, mix lime juice, peanut oil, sesame oil, and honey in a jar. Close the lid tightly and shake well to combine all the ingredients.
Step 6
In a salad bowl, combine the radishes, peas, and green onion. Toss well and drizzle with the dressing.
Step 7
Sprinkle with white (or black) sesame seeds and black cumin. It's important to maintain a balance of white and black seeds for the beauty of the final dish.
