Ingredients

  • Butter - 1.8 oz
  • Squid - 2 lbs
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Grated Ginger Root - 2 tablespoons
  • Chicken Broth - ½ cup
  • Soy Sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon - 1.1 oz
  • Coconut Milk - 12 fl oz
  • Cilantro - to taste
  • White Pepper (whole) - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Place the frozen squid in a bowl, pour boiling water over it, and remove the skin and insides.

Step 2

Finely chop the garlic and ginger and sauté them in a saucepan.

Step 3

Pour in the broth and bring to a boil.

Step 4

Add the coconut milk and soy sauce, along with 3 lemon wedges, chopped cilantro, and pepper.

Step 5

Simmer until thickened, then add the squid and cook for another minute.
