Description
Squid in garlic tomato sauce
Ingredients
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Squid - 6 pieces
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Dry White Wine - 1 fl oz
- Crushed Tomatoes in Their Own Juice - ½ glasses
- Ocean salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Herbes de Provence - 1 tablespoon
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable Oil - 4 spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Thaw the squid (if needed), clean, and wash them. Pat the bodies dry and make shallow longitudinal cuts on both sides with a very sharp knife, being careful not to slice all the way through.
Step 2
Cut the tomatoes into cubes and finely chop the garlic. In a bowl, combine the tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, garlic, salt, pepper, herbs, wine, and olive oil. Add the squid to the mixture, coating them inside and out, and let them marinate for 15 minutes.
Step 3
In a skillet, heat vegetable oil well, quickly add the squid, pour in the remaining sauce, and fry, turning occasionally, for 6 minutes.
Step 4
Serve immediately.
