Ingredients
- Onion - 2 heads
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Grated Ginger Root - 1 teaspoon
- Bay leaf - 4 pieces
- Allspice berries - 5 pieces
- Clove - 3 pieces
- Squid - 17.6 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Slice the onion into rings, grate the carrot on a coarse grater, and press the garlic through a garlic press.
Step 2
Sauté the vegetables in oil, add the spices, and simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
Step 3
Boil water in a pot, add the bay leaf, clove, allspice, and salt.
Step 4
Drop the cleaned squid body into the boiling water (one at a time), count to 10, and remove with a fork or slotted spoon. Then let the broth come to a boil again and add the next squid, and so on.
Step 5
Cut the squid into thin rings and add them to the vegetables.
Step 6
Stew on medium heat for 10 minutes.
