Description

If you think beef doesn't go well with shrimp, think again! I saw this dish on a cooking show similar to 'Kitchen for Men.' I'm not a fan of such shows, as you rarely see interesting cooking techniques, but I decided to personally test this recipe. Originally, mustard was used, but I think it would overpower the aroma of the shrimp and meat. It's all up to your discretion. Cook, experiment, and enjoy your meal!

Ingredients

  • Tiger shrimp in brine - 5 pieces
  • Oyster Mushrooms - 0 fl oz
  • Salt - 0.1 oz
  • Veal Tenderloin - 7.4 oz
  • Ground Black Pepper - 0.1 oz
  • Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz
  • Garlic - 0.2 oz
  • Thyme - 0.1 oz
  • Grated Ginger Root - 0.2 oz
  • Arugula - 0.5 oz
  • Lemon - 0.5 oz
  • Olive Oil - 0 fl oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Prepare the shrimp. Pour vegetable oil into a heated frying pan, add a crushed clove of garlic, ginger root, and a sprig of thyme. Sauté the components lightly to infuse the oil with a new aroma and flavor. Clean the shrimp and sauté them in the aromatic oil.

Step 2

Prepare the meat for the steak. Cut the tenderloin across the grain and begin to pound it against the grain (for those unfamiliar with steak preparation rules, I recommend looking up information). Unlike a regular steak, we will pound this one very thin.

Step 3

Wrap the steak. Spread oyster sauce on one side of the pounded piece and place the shrimp on it. Close the steak like a book, lightly salt and pepper it, and place it on a well-heated frying pan with oil. The steak cooks very quickly due to the thin layer of meat, while remaining very juicy.

Step 4

The arugula serves not only as a garnish but also as an essential component of this dish. Mix a bunch of arugula with grated garlic and lemon zest. Dress with olive oil and lemon juice.

Step 5

Serve as you wish. In my example, the steak is placed on a plate, topped with a mix of arugula, drizzled with pesto sauce around it, and accompanied by cherry tomatoes that were lightly sautéed in the pan next to the steak.
