Description
Without adding cheese and bread crumbs, you get an excellent dietary dish that is not as tasteless as regular steamed patties. I like to add cilantro as the herb, but parsley, dill, or a mix of herbs will work just fine. These patties are also delicious cold, so you can take them for a picnic.
Ingredients
- Ground meat - 21.2 oz
- Cake crumbs - to taste
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Potato - 1 piece
- Milk - to taste
- Herbs - to taste
- Spices - to taste
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 7.1 oz
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Add the egg, spices, salt, and soaked bread crumbs in milk to the ground chicken and mix well.
Step 2
Finely chop the herbs and add them to the mixture.
Step 3
Finely chop the tomato (I cut it into small cubes), after removing the skin (to do this, it's convenient to dip the vegetable in boiling water for 10 seconds — the skin comes off easier). Add the cubes to the mixture.
Step 4
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater (I used regular cheese, something like American cheese), add it to the mixture, and mix everything thoroughly.
Step 5
Shape the mixture into patties of your preferred size and place them in the steamer.
Step 6
After 30 minutes, the patties can be served (you can use steamed potatoes, green beans, or anything else you like as a side dish).
