- Scallions - 0.7 oz
- Herring - 24.7 oz
- Soy Sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Grated Ginger Root - 2 teaspoons
- Vegetable Oil - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Remove the bones from the herring. Cut part of the green onions into short strips and slice the ginger root thinly.
Step 2
Stuff the herring with green onions and ginger, place the fish on the steamer rack, and steam until cooked through.
Step 3
Finely chop the remaining green onions and ginger, sauté in oil, and mix with soy sauce. Drizzle the finished sauce over the fish when serving.
