- Trout - 10.6 oz
- Ocean salt - to taste
- Lemon-Pepper Mix - to taste
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Dried cranberries with sugar - 10.6 oz
- Honey - 3 tablespoons
- Lime - 1 piece
- Water - 1 cup
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the trout (2 portion-sized pieces) in a steamer, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Pour water into a pot, add 2-3 tablespoons of honey, and bring to a boil. Add the cranberries.
Step 3
Zest half of the lemon and the whole lime. Squeeze the juice from half of the lemon and the whole lime. Add the zest and juice to the pot with the cranberries. Cook, mashing the cranberries, for about 15 minutes. Strain the finished sauce through a sieve until smooth.
Step 4
Serve the fish hot with the sauce and a slice of lemon. As a side dish, you can serve fresh vegetables or steamed Brussels sprouts with the trout.
