Ingredients
- Lentils - 1 cup
- Semi-Smoked Sausage - 5.3 oz
- Onion - 2 heads
- Tomato Puree - 1 tablespoon

Soak the rinsed lentils in cold water for 3–4 hours, then drain the water.
Step 2
Blanch the bacon in boiling water and slice it thinly. Chop the onion and lightly sauté it with the bacon.
Step 3
After that, place the lentils and bacon in a pot, add 1 cup of water or broth, add the tomato puree, salt, pepper, bay leaf, and cover the pot, simmering the lentils for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Before serving, mound the cooked lentils on a plate and sprinkle with chopped parsley or dill.
