Stewed Stuffed Pattypans
Ingredients
- Pattypans - 6 pieces
- Ground meat - 10.6 oz
- Rice - 3.5 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 2.5 oz
- Water - 23 fl oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Sour Cream - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Chop the onion into small cubes.
Step 3
Mix the onion, rice, paprika, salt, and black pepper into the ground meat.
Step 4
Wash the small pattypans, cut off the tops, and carefully scoop out some of the flesh using a melon baller. Be careful not to pierce the vegetables through.
Step 5
Stuff the pattypans with the filling, leaving about a centimeter from the edge.
Step 6
In a deep skillet, mix the tomato paste with water and place the pattypans in.
Step 7
Bring to a boil, add salt to the water, reduce the heat to low, cover with a lid, and simmer for 40–60 minutes, until the filling is cooked through.
Step 8
Serve the stewed stuffed pattypans with sour cream.
