Stir-Fried Beef with Red Pepper, Mushrooms, Oyster Sauce, and Rice

Ingredients

  • Rice - 7.1 oz
  • Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Lamb Neck Fillet - 5.3 oz
  • Snap Peas - ¼ cup
  • Scallions - 4 stalks
  • Red Long Chili Peppers - ½ piece
  • Mini corn - 8 pieces
  • Shimeji mushrooms - 6 pieces
  • Apple Wine - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy Sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Sweet Chili Sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Oyster Mushrooms - 1 tablespoon
  • Corn Starch - 1 teaspoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Cook the rice in boiling water until soft, then drain.

Step 2

Heat a wok over medium heat for 1-2 minutes until it starts to smoke, then add the vegetable oil. Add the chopped meat and minced garlic, and stir-fry for 30 seconds. Add the chopped vegetables and mushrooms, then the wine, salt, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and 75 ml of water.

Step 3

Mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water and pour it into the sauce. Bring to a boil and stir in the sesame oil.

Step 4

Divide the rice onto 2 plates, top with the meat, and drizzle with chili sauce.
