Description
Stir-Fried Pork with Leeks (Cong Bao Rou Si)
Ingredients
- Sesame Oil - 1 teaspoon
- Pork tenderloin - 10.6 oz
- Soy Sauce - 1 teaspoon
- Corn Starch - ½ teaspoon
- Sugar - ¼ teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Leek - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the meat into small strips and place it in a bowl. Add the sesame oil, soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and half of the minced garlic. Mix well and let it sit for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Heat a wok over high heat until it starts to smoke. Add 1 tablespoon of oil and spread it over the surface. Add the diagonally sliced leek and stir-fry for a minute until fragrant. Transfer to a plate.
Step 3
Return the wok to high heat and pour in the remaining oil, spreading it over the surface. Add the meat and stir-fry until browned, about 2 minutes.
Step 4
Add the leek back to the wok and cook for another minute until tender, stirring constantly.
