- Eggplants - 1½ kg
- Rice - ½ glasses
- Onion - 2 heads
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Cheese Spread - 3.5 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 3.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the eggplants, cut off the ends, and make a small lengthwise slit to scoop out the seeds with a teaspoon. Then, immerse the eggplants in boiling salted water for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Cook the rice. Pass the meat through a meat grinder, then mix it with the rice, tomato paste, and finely chopped sautéed onion, adding salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3
Stuff the eggplants with the filling, place them in a greased skillet or baking tray, sprinkle with grated cheese, and bake in the oven for about 40 minutes.
