Description
Recipe taken from a culinary magazine.
Ingredients
- Morels - 10 pieces
- Onion - 1 head
- Hard Cheese - 5.3 oz
- Breadcrumbs - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Herbs - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash and dry the mushrooms. Carefully separate the mushroom stems so that the caps remain intact. Do not discard the stems; they will be used in the filling. If the mushrooms' skin is coming off, it is better to remove it and carefully clean the edges of any excess.
Step 2
For the filling, finely chop the onion and mushroom stems, and grate the cheese on a medium grater.
Step 3
Sauté the onion in vegetable oil for 2–3 minutes, add the chopped mushroom stems, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for another 5 minutes. You can add the minced garlic at the end.
Step 4
Add the breadcrumbs to the sautéed mixture and stir.
Step 5
Let the mixture cool slightly and add half of the grated cheese, mixing gently again.
Step 6
Place the mushroom caps on a greased baking sheet, season with salt and pepper.
Step 7
Pour a little sunflower oil into each cap. If there is leftover oil from sautéing the filling, you can use it.
Step 8
Fill the mushroom caps with the prepared filling and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
Step 9
Bake the stuffed mushrooms in the oven for about 10–12 minutes at a temperature of around 392°F.
Step 10
Transfer to a serving plate, garnish with herbs, and serve.
