Description
You can use any kind of ground meat for this recipe, but keep in mind that the fattier the meat, the more broth will be produced, and the peppers will boil while cooking. Therefore, it is recommended to use leaner meat for the filling, as it creates a juicy stuffing when combined with vegetables.
Ingredients
- Ground meat - 17.6 oz
- Gherkins - 4 pieces
- Mixed tomatoes of different colors - 1 piece
- Parsley - 3 sprigs
- Salt - to taste
- Orange Bell Peppers - 2 pieces
- Garlic - 4 cloves
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients: wash the peppers, tomato, and herbs.
Step 2
Cut the peppers in half.
Step 3
Remove the seeds from the peppers and place them in a baking dish.
Step 4
Finely chop the herbs.
Step 5
Dice the gherkins into small cubes.
Step 6
Dice the tomato into cubes as well.
Step 7
Combine the vegetables in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
Step 8
Add the ground chicken to the vegetable mixture.
Step 9
Mix and season with salt to taste.
Step 10
Stuff the pepper halves with the filling (if necessary, you can support the peppers with parchment paper so they don't fall over).
Step 11
Place small pieces of homemade cheese on top of the filling and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired, then bake in the oven for 35 minutes at 356°F.
Step 12
When the cheese is golden brown and the broth from the filling in the peppers is clear and bubbling, you can take them out and serve.
