Description
Stuffed Tomatoes with Buckwheat
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 4 pieces
- Lean Beef - 7.1 oz
- Onion - 1 piece
- Pork Mince - 5.3 oz
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Buckwheat Groats - 10.6 oz
- Cheese Spread - 0.7 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Slightly undercook the buckwheat.
Step 2
Prepare the tomatoes. Cut off the tops; they will serve as lids. Scoop out the flesh from the center of the tomatoes and set it aside. We will need it later. Place the empty tomatoes in a baking dish.
Step 3
Sauté the onion and garlic until golden. Mix with the ground meat and sauté everything together. Add the tomato flesh and simmer a little longer. Combine with the buckwheat. Season with salt and pepper to taste. You can add some herbs.
Step 4
Fill the tomatoes with the meat and buckwheat mixture. Place a piece of your favorite cheese on top. Cover with the tomato lid.
Step 5
Bake everything in the oven for about 15–20 minutes at 200–428°F. Once the tomatoes are browned, remove them and garnish with herbs.
