Surf and Turf with Lemon Mustard Sauce
Ingredients
- Butter - 1.1 oz
- Scallions - 1 piece
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Wheat Flour - 1 tablespoon
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Cream - 2 tablespoons
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
- Dijon Mustard - 2 teaspoons
- Lobster tails - 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Canned Crabs - 6 oz
- Lamb Neck Fillet - 4 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
For the sauce, melt the butter in a skillet and add finely chopped green onion and garlic. Sauté over medium heat for 1 minute until the onion is soft.
Step 2
Gradually stir in the milk, mixing until the mixture is smooth. Cook over medium heat until the sauce comes to a boil and slightly thickens, about 1 minute. Remove from heat, add the cream, lemon juice, and mustard. Keep warm.
Step 3
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet. Place the raw lobster tail in the skillet. Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes on each side. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
Step 4
In the skillet, place the 4 fillets and sear over high heat for 2 minutes on each side. Transfer to a paper towel.
Step 5
Plate the meat on serving dishes, top with the sliced lobster. Drizzle with the lemon mustard sauce and sprinkle with green onion.
