Description
Swedish meatballs with lingonberry jam
Ingredients
- Pork Mince - 28.2 oz
- Breadcrumbs - 8.8 oz
- Milk - 10 fl oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Garlic - 0.4 oz
- White Pepper (whole) - 0.2 oz
- Butter - 2.6 oz
- Wheat Flour - 1.8 oz
- Chicken Broth - 21.2 oz
- Lingonberry - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a large bowl, mix the ground pork, finely chopped garlic, lightly beaten eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, and spices. Stir until well combined.
Step 2
Form the mixture into meatballs the size of small tangerines and place them on a baking sheet lined with foil.
Step 3
Bake in a preheated oven at 428°F for 15-20 minutes, until cooked through.
Step 4
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the flour, and sauté while stirring for 2-3 minutes.
Step 5
The flour should not turn brown. Gradually pour in the milk while constantly stirring, then do the same with the heated broth.
Step 6
Add salt and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens (it should reach the consistency of sour cream).
Step 7
Place the cooked meatballs in a large deep dish and pour the sauce over them. Mix and serve, garnished with lingonberry jam. Enjoy your meal!
