Tagliatelle with Beef Ragu
Ingredients
- Bacon - 3.5 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
- Red Grape Juice - 17 fl oz
- Lean Beef - 28.2 oz
- Green Tagliatelle Pasta - 14.1 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 3.2 oz
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Heat a large skillet, add finely chopped bacon, and fry over medium heat for 2 minutes until soft and browned. Add chopped onion, garlic, and bay leaf, and sauté for 2 minutes until the onion is soft.
Step 2
Add the ground beef and cook for 4 minutes until browned, breaking up large chunks. Add the wine, tomato paste, and 250 ml of water, and mix well. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 40 minutes. Remove the lid and cook for another 40 minutes.
Step 3
Cook the tagliatelle in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain. Serve on plates and top with the meat sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
