Description
Tartiflette is a hearty dish from the French Alps made with potatoes, reblochon cheese, lardons, and onions. Ingredients
- Cheese Spread - 7.1 oz
- Onion - 1 piece
- Olive Oil - 2 spoons
- Salt - ½ spoons
- Cream 22% - 7 fl oz
- Ground Black Pepper - ½ spoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Ground Nutmeg - 1 tablespoon
- Bacon - 10.6 oz
- Potato - 5 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Finely chop the bacon, onion, and garlic, then sauté them.
Step 2
Slice the potatoes into 2–3 mm thick pieces and boil them in salted water for about two minutes. Remove and sprinkle with nutmeg and pepper.
Step 3
Now assemble in a dish with high sides. Layers: potatoes, bacon, cheese (more cheese), potatoes, bacon, cheese.
Step 4
Pour warm cream over it and place it in the oven. You can check for doneness with a knife — if the potatoes are soft, it's ready to be taken out.
