Description

Tender chicken patties with ptitim

Ingredients

  • Poultry - 12.7 oz
  • Onion - 3.5 oz
  • White bread - 4.2 oz
  • 10% cream - 7 fl oz
  • Dill - 0.2 oz
  • Butter - 0.7 oz
  • Olive Oil - 1 fl oz
  • Cucumbers - 5.3 oz
  • Couscous - 3.5 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Boil the ptitim in boiling salted water with a little olive oil for 15 minutes, then drain the water.

Step 2

Remove the crust from the bread, tear it into small pieces, pour the cream over it, mash thoroughly with a spoon, and let it sit for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Peel and finely chop the onion, cut the chicken into small pieces, and finely chop the dill without stems (set aside 2 sprigs of dill for garnish).

Step 4

Squeeze out the bread; pass the bread, meat, onion, and dill through a meat grinder, season with salt and pepper, and mix thoroughly.

Step 5

Form small patties with a diameter of 3–4 cm and a height of 1 cm.

Step 6

Fry the patties in sunflower oil over medium heat for 2.5 minutes on each side.

Step 7

Before serving, mix the butter into the warm ptitim, place the patties on top, and serve with sliced cucumber.
