You can use granulated sugar instead of powdered sugar.

Ingredients

  • Cognac - 1 fl oz
  • Maraschino Liqueur - 0 fl oz
  • Orange bitters - 0 fl oz
  • Meyer Lemon Juice - 2½ ml
  • Powdered Sugar - 0.1 oz
  • Citrus Zest Mix - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Take a nice strip of lemon zest about two centimeters wide (you can make it wider if you like). Squeeze a little lemon juice. Moisten the outside of the glass with the juice and dip the edges and walls of the glass into powdered sugar. Roll the strip of zest into a ring and secure it inside the glass.

Step 2

Pour the cognac and liqueurs into a shaker, shake with crushed ice, and strain into a glass. You can also add a small ice cube to it.
