Ingredients
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Onion - 1 head
- Butter - 3 tablespoons
- Fresh Mushrooms - 8.8 oz
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Salt - to taste
- Chopped Sage Leaves - ½ teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Rosé Dry Wine - ¼ cup
- Wheat Flour - 2 tablespoons
- Chicken Broth - 2 cups
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a skillet, heat the olive oil and sauté the finely chopped onion for 5-7 minutes until soft.
Step 2
Add 1 tablespoon of butter and let it melt.
Step 3
Add the thinly sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 20 minutes until they start to caramelize.
Step 4
Add the finely chopped garlic and thyme and sauté for another minute. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Pour in the wine and bring to a boil.
Step 6
Meanwhile, in a saucepan, melt the remaining butter and cook until it turns light brown. Add the flour and stir until the flour is slightly browned.
Step 7
Add the mushrooms and slowly pour in the broth. Bring to a boil and let it thicken slightly.
