Description
This salsa recipe is adapted from a cookbook on sauces by a well-known chef. In the original recipe, I think there is too much olive oil (150 ml), so you can add it to taste until the oil covers all the ingredients. It pairs well with steamed trout.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 7.1 oz
- Basil - 0.7 oz
- Capers - 3 tablespoons
- Pitted olives - 1.8 oz
- Olive Oil - 5 fl oz
- Lemon - 1 piece
- White Pepper (whole) - a pinch
- Salt - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the tomatoes, remove the seeds, chop the flesh, and place it in a large bowl.
Step 2
Add the rinsed small capers, finely chopped olives, olive oil, lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper. Mix and cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit for an hour.
Step 3
Add the finely chopped basil and mix.
